Jaipur National University was ranked 92 by NIRF Ranking in 2022 and 72 in 2021 for the Pharmacy category. In 2020, it was placed in 93 position for Science, 33rd position for Mass Communication, and 28th position for Hotel Management in India by India Today.

Meritorious students and students who are in need of financial guidance are given scholarships at the university. The university provides the following kinds of scholarships to applicants: JNU's merit-based scholarships are given to students who have attained a grade point average of at least 75% in their chosen courses or who are the program's top students. Students pursuing JRF/Ph.D./NET are eligible for the Special Scholarships for Research Assistants and Scholars.
A minimum of 50% in the 12th grade from an accredited board is needed for applicants. Candidates must have finished their graduation in the respective field in order to apply for admission to PG programs.
